When researching the housing market, the first place most people go is the internet. There are a lot of different sites out there that claim to have accurate knowledge of the real estate market. The one I would like to talk about today is Zillow.

Zillow is a great tool to use for researching the housing market, but there is a lot of inaccurate information out there that I think you should be aware of.  If you are looking to sell your home and use the Zillow listing as a reference, the truth is that 8 out of 10 times you are looking at a figure that is lower than what your house is really worth

Zillow is not very accurate for current home listings, but it does have some advantages you should know about. Zillow is used today like the "Kelley Blue Book of Real Estate". This can be a bad thing due to innacurate pricing, but it can also be a good thing, because if your house is appraised correctly,  you will see a ton of traffic on your home.
